"crossPoints" - Across Qualification Program for Freelance Translators

The number of companies and LSPs that use Across as a basis for their translation processes is increasing worldwide and constantly - hence the demand for qualified Across translators continues to increase. Therefore, more than 10,000 freelance translators have already registered with Across and have the Across Personal Edition.

In addition, Across offers a number of advanced training opportunities and qualification courses for freelance translators. For participation in a training, translators receive "crossPoints."

The number of crossPoints is supposed to provide clients who are looking for freelance translators with information about a translator's experience with and knowledge about Across: the more crossPoints a translator has, the more extensive his or her experience with Across is. 

Translators can earn crossPoints for the following activities:

• 1 crossPoint for participation in Across Systems' online webinars on Across Personal Edition that are at least one hour long (once for each topic)

• 1 crossPoint for naming Across in their personal ProZ profile (once)

• 3 crossPoints for participation in an on-site training on Across Personal Edition that is at least one day long (on the basis of confirmation of participation by the organizer)

• 3 crossPoints for written recommendation by a customer (The name of the customer will not be published.)
