Two more language service providers have been certified for the latest version of the Across Language Server: Merrill Brink and Schmieder Übersetzungen. In a special training program for language service providers, which is conducted directly by Across, the manufacturer of the translation management system, users are provided with comprehensive application knowledge.
With its offices in Europe, Asia, and North America, Merrill Brink supports customers around the globe in their local markets. Apart from numerous ISO certifications to fulfill industry-specific quality and process requirements, the language service provider also puts great emphasis on demonstrable expertise in the translation tools used. Therefore, Merrill Brink has successfully completed the entire Across certification for version 6, which comprises the Project Management, Terminology, Translation, and System Management modules.
"As a multi-platform provider, our goal is to support all leading CAT tools. As this also includes Across, the certification was in line with our business strategy. Besides our numerous ISO certifications and our international presence, our customers also benefit from our sound, up-to-date, and attested Across skills", explains Thorsten Staab, Region Manager Central Europe at Merrill Brink.
Refresher Courses for Across Language Server v6
In 2013, Schmieder Übersetzungen GmbH was one of the first language service providers to be certified for the predecessor version 5.7. Following a refresher course, the company now also bears the label "Across Certified v6". Upon transition to a new version (major release), enterprises that are certified for a predecessor version need to get training for the most important new features and pass an online test in order to update their previously certified Across skills for the latest version.
